Front to back: the bear's fur is molded with textured strokes and its face has small black eyes and a black stitched nose and mouth. It waves with its right paw and rests its left paw on the cuff. Its outfit is a raspberry pink jacket with molded stitching, a yellow bow tie and a white shirtfront with two black buttons. The bear sits in a green stocking cuff molded with dotted stitch lines and a row of gold X stitches. Below the lid the stocking has a pink band, a green band with a ribbed knit texture, a yellow band, a pink toe with a green tip and a row of gold X stitches along the toe seam, and a yellow heel at the back. Lid and body are joined by a gold-tone metal rim embossed with holly leaves and berries, with a small hinge at the back and a round flower-shaped clasp at the front.
Inside, the box and the underside of the lid are glazed plain cream. The base is a flat stocking-shaped oval with a narrow unglazed rim and a white glazed center stamped in black upright capitals: NOT FOR FOOD AND DRINK USE / MADE IN CHINA, and below them the number 133.
