Bands of alternating curl swirls and cross-hatched lattice squares ring the shoulder, foot and flat lid, which has a solid cobalt knob and a steam hole. Cobalt edges the spout tip, and inside sits a built-in strainer of holes. The base is stamped BLUE MOON / MICROWAVE SAFE in a double-lined rectangle. It is modern production; sellers date the teapot to the 1980s.

Blue Moon dragon ware
Blue Moon is a brand name stamped on modern blue and white porcelain decorated with Chinese-style dragons, sold as teapots, bowls and plates. Matching pieces use the same dragon with swirl and lattice borders and the same BLUE MOON / MICROWAVE SAFE stamp, and resellers describe them as modern production in a Ming-revival style.
White teapot with a cobalt dragon
The Blue Moon dragon teapot is a round, squat porcelain teapot with a wide shoulder, a plain C-shaped loop handle, a long straight spout angled upward, and a flat inset lid. Glossy white, a cool bluish white, it is decorated only in blue, a deep cobalt with lighter washes, in the traditional Chinese blue and white style.
A single long dragon wraps around the body: a scaled serpent body, a horned head with open toothy mouth and long curling whiskers, a spiky mane and back fins drawn like flames, and three- and four-clawed feet. Around the shoulder below the lid opening runs a border between double lines of alternating curl swirls and cross-hatched lattice squares; the same border repeats around the foot. The lid is a flat disc with two blue rings, a ring of the same swirls and lattice squares between them, a solid rounded knob painted fully cobalt, and a small steam hole. Cobalt bands the tip of the spout.
Inside, the body is plain white with a cluster of small holes where the spout joins, forming a built-in strainer, and faint molded marks above the holes that cannot be read. The base carries a blue printed mark centered on the glazed bottom: BLUE MOON over a thin line and MICROWAVE SAFE, both in condensed block capitals, framed by a double-lined rounded rectangle.
On this copy: not measured. There are brown tea stains inside the spout and light staining on the rim of the lid opening, white glaze or residue marks along the top of the spout, and a few dark specks in the glaze. No chips or cracks were seen.
