This is a round, scalloped ceramic plate from Bath & Body Works' Handcrafted & Heartfelt home line, a line other pieces date to about 1999. The whole top is molded in relief like a crochet lace doily: a spiral rosette in the center, a ring of ribbed petals, then rows of pebbled cells and fan shells out to the scalloped edge. Its glaze is white with a pearly iridescent lustre (a rainbow sheen). Turned over, the plate is glossy white with two unglazed foot rings and a green stamp: Handcrafted & Heartfelt arched over a rising sun, Bath & Body Works, Microwave & Dishwasher Safe, Made In China.

Bath & Body Works Handcrafted & Heartfelt
Handcrafted & Heartfelt was a Bath & Body Works line of home pieces such as ceramic candle plates and candle holders. Dated pieces from the line are marked 1999, including a Spring 1999 Limited Edition candle plate with the same green Handcrafted & Heartfelt stamp. This lace plate carries no date of its own.
Pearl white crochet doily plate with a scalloped edge
The Bath & Body Works Handcrafted & Heartfelt lace plate is a large, round, flat ceramic plate with a scalloped edge, molded to look like a crocheted lace doily. Glazed white, a soft pearl white, it has an iridescent lustre finish that throws a rainbow sheen of pink, green and blue when light hits it. In flat light it reads as plain white with a slight lavender-gray cast.
The design is all raised relief on the top surface. At the center is a small round spiral rosette like a coiled shell, circled by a ring of almond-shaped petals filled with fine ribbing, so the middle looks like a crocheted flower. Around it, rows of pebble-like cells grow larger toward the rim, the way a doily's mesh opens out. Near the edge, fan or shell motifs with radiating lines sit in each scallop, and the outer border is a row of small rounded loops following the scalloped outline, about sixteen scallops in all.
The back is plain glossy white with two raised concentric foot rings left unglazed, showing a tan-cream body at the ring tops. Inside the inner ring is the backstamp, printed in green (a dark forest green). Handcrafted & Heartfelt, in small serif capitals and lowercase, arches over a logo of a half sun rising with rays above horizontal lines. Next comes Bath & Body Works in larger serif letters on two lines, with a small star on each side, then Microwave & / Dishwasher Safe / Made In China in small serif type.
On this copy: the plate was not measured; next to the hand holding it, it is roughly three hand-widths across, a platter-size plate. The lustre has fine scratches in the cells near the center, there are light yellowish spots and grime in a few recesses, and the unglazed foot rings are stained tan with brown grime. A small mark seen at the left edge of the front in one photo could not be read. No chips or cracks were seen.
