Campbell's Kids 2002 Soup Mug by Houston Harvest, Item 31881, Kids Planting Seeds and Boy in Hammock

The Campbell's Kids 2002 Houston Harvest soup mug is a wide, straight-sided ceramic soup mug with a thick rolled rim and a large loop handle. It is glossy white inside and out, with a broad red (a bright tomato red) band around the body, edged above and below by white. Campbell's is written across the band on each side in the brand's white flowing script with a small registered mark.

Under each logo is a scene in an oval frame of cream scrollwork. On one side, two Campbell's Kids kneel in a garden in front of a white picket fence. A boy in a woven straw hat, red shirt and blue overalls, with a small trowel beside him, holds out his hand to a blonde girl in a red cap, yellow blouse and blue pants. She holds a seed packet printed with a tomato, next to a freshly dug ring of soil. On the other side, a boy in a straw cowboy hat, red neckerchief and blue overalls lies back in a hammock with a stalk of grass in his mouth. Beside him are staked tomato plants with red fruit, a cross-shaped garden marker, a watering can, a yellow flower and a bluebird perched on the hammock rope, all under a yellow sun with long rays.

The base has an unglazed tan foot ring around a glazed white center printed in black. At the center is a round mark: PRODUCED FOR HOUSTON HARVEST GIFT PRODUCTS LLC and DISHWASHER & MICROWAVE SAFE curve around the top of a black circle holding a stylized double-H monogram with HOUSTON HARVEST in small capitals, and MADE IN CHINA and FRANKLIN PARK, IL 60131 curve below it. Under the round mark, in plain sans-serif type, are four lines of copyright and item text.

On this copy: not measured. The glaze and decals look bright and complete, with no chips or cracks seen. A few dark specks show inside, and the unglazed foot ring is lightly soiled.
