Khaki crown, green bill and black script embroidery
The Ted's Building Supply Sallisaw, Oklahoma snapback cap is a structured six-panel baseball cap with a khaki crown, a light stone khaki cotton twill, and a green bill, a dark hunter or forest green. Its front is high and stiff, with a center seam running up the middle. Small embroidered eyelets in the same dark green sit on the crown panels, and the back closes with a white plastic snap strap, the style sellers call a snapback or trucker-style advertising cap.
Front, centered across both front panels in black thread: Ted's Building Supply in a large flowing handwritten script with tall looped capitals, arched slightly over a swoosh of three long curved strokes that cross a short vertical stroke at the center seam. Below the swoosh, Sallisaw, Oklahoma is stitched in the same large script. Under that is a short line of much smaller script beginning with the number 8 and two looped script words. The stitches are packed so tightly that the words cannot be read letter by letter, but they appear to say Miles North (or Mile North). Last comes the phone number 918-775-2446 in plain, bold block numerals. Eight rows of green top stitching follow the curve of the bill.
Inside, a white woven tag is sewn to the center back of the sweatband. Its logo is a round sun made of red vertical stripes over a solid blue half circle, with NISSUN in white outlined capitals on a blue bar across the middle. Below are MADE IN PHILIPPINES in blue block capitals and NISSUN CAP in blue serif capitals between two thin red lines. The back strap is white plastic with seven round snap studs and NISSUN CAP molded in rounded lowercase-style letters along the strap. Cream lining with taped seams covers the inside of the crown.
On this copy: the khaki crown has light dirt and a few dark specks, mostly near the bill and along the center seam. Faint pen writing appears on the outside back of the crown above the strap opening and shows through on the inner crown (illegible, seen on 1 copy). The sweatband and tag are lightly discolored and the bill is lightly soiled but keeps its shape. Both the snap strap and all its snaps are intact. Size is adjustable and was not measured.
