Mizuno Professional Model 14 Inch Power Lock Softball Glove, Dark Brown and Tan with Tartan Basket Web
This is a Mizuno 14 inch softball glove for slowpitch fielding in two-tone leather: dark chocolate brown finger backs and web, with tan (light saddle) binding, thumb and wrist strap, mustard gold stitching and dark brown laces. The web is a checkered tartan basket weave of alternating smooth and rough-out suede squares with an embossed Mizuno runbird. On the thumb, PROFESSIONAL MODEL and 14 inches are stamped, and the wrist strap carries a striped round POWER LOCK stamp and a black and gold Mizuno patch. Both the stamps and the Brown/Tan colors fit Mizuno's Franchise series (GFN1400 family), but no model number was seen to confirm it.

Mizuno's Power Lock softball gloves
Mizuno is a Japanese sporting goods company, and its US softball gloves have used a PowerLock wrist strap, an adjustable hook-and-loop closure, across several lines. A 14 inch pattern is a common slowpitch fielding size. Mizuno's Franchise series 14 inch gloves were sold in a Brown/Tan colorway with a tartan web, which matches the look of this glove.
Two-tone brown leather glove with a checkered web
The Mizuno Professional Model 14 inch Power Lock glove is a full-size leather softball fielder's glove, the large pattern used for slowpitch. It is two-tone: the back of the fingers, the finger stalls and the web are brown, a dark chocolate brown in pebbled leather, while the binding along the finger tops, the thumb, the back of the hand and the wrist strap are tan, a light saddle or caramel brown. Seams are sewn in double rows of yellow thread (a mustard gold), and the glove is laced with dark brown rawhide.
Across the back of the fingers the Mizuno logo is embroidered in gold (a mustard yellow): the runbird, a stylized swoosh-like bird shape on the left, then MIZUNO in slanted, wide capitals made of thick and thin strokes. The web is a closed tartan-style basket web: two woven panels of alternating smooth brown leather squares and fuzzy rough-out suede squares, separated by a smooth strip with the runbird and Mizuno name embossed (pressed in, no color). On the thumb, PROFESSIONAL MODEL is stamped in small spaced block capitals above a lace, and 14 inches is stamped below it in slanted italic letters; a round logo stamp sits at the left edge of the thumb.
The wrist strap is the Power Lock style: a tan leather flap edged in gray (a light ash gray) fabric binding, closed with black hook-and-loop fastener. Stamped in dark ink in the middle of the strap is the POWER LOCK logo, a circle filled with horizontal stripes, POWER in bold capitals across the upper half and LOCK below it on a lightning-bolt line. At the end of the flap is an embroidered patch with a black background, the runbird in gold above MIZUNO in gold slanted capitals.
On this copy: no model number or country of manufacture was visible in the photos, and the round thumb stamp is partly cut off and too worn to read. The leather is broken in, with creasing and darkening along the fingers, scuffs and two small white marks on the thumb, rubbed suede on the web, and frayed gray binding on the strap. Several laces are loose with long tails at the heel and thumb, and lint is caught in the hook-and-loop.

About the Mizuno Power Lock 14" Professional Model Glove
How do I find the model number on my Mizuno glove?

It is Mizuno's name for its adjustable wrist strap, a leather flap with a hook-and-loop closure that tightens the glove at the wrist.
Is a Mizuno Professional Model 14 inch glove for baseball or softball?
A 14 inch pattern is a softball size, mostly used for slowpitch fielding.
