About this item

The Budweiser label as a bar mirror, in its script-logo years

This Budweiser Genuine label bar mirror is a framed glass mirror screen-printed with the whole front of a Budweiser bottle label, set in a gold-colored molded frame. GENUINE runs down a red bar on each side, gold A and Eagle emblems sit in the top corners, and the round AB seal in the middle is wrapped in hops and barley under a banner that begins "This is the famous Budweiser beer." Below that, on a clear panel of mirror, Budweiser is written in a thin navy script with a large looped B, with KING OF BEERS in small capitals under it. Mirrors like this were handed out to taverns and sold to fans as point-of-sale and bar decor.

Budweiser was introduced in St. Louis in 1876 by Carl Conrad and Adolphus Busch, after Busch tasted the original Budweiser beer on a trip to Bohemia, and Busch turned the older "Beer of Kings" line into "The King of Beers." The banner on this mirror repeats the label's well-known claim that "Our exclusive Beechwood Aging produces a taste, a smoothness and a drinkability you will find in no other beer at any price." Beechwood aging is real, and the beer rests on beechwood chips that are boiled first, so they add little flavor of their own. The A and Eagle and the AB initials stand for Anheuser-Busch, and the sideways GENUINE belongs to the same run of authenticity wording on the label.

The mirror isn't dated, and its back, where a maker's sticker would be, wasn't photographed, so the script logo is the clue. Older Genuine label mirrors from the 1980s and 1990s spell Budweiser in a bold, blocky serif, often in blue or red, with the A and Eagles in little square boxes, and two of them in live listings are dated 1984 and 1995. Logopedia's history of Budweiser marks lists a new script by Deutsch Design Works launched in September 1999 and used to 2011. A square label mirror with the same script and hops-and-barley art is printed "© 2003 Anheuser-Busch" on its face, and its back sticker reads Head West Inc., A/B item 1035221, made 11/2005. Budweiser moved its packaging to a large red bowtie in 2011, so this mirror most likely dates from about 1999 to 2011, probably the early to mid 2000s, which puts it right at the edge of vintage. A back sticker with a date would settle it.

No other copy of this exact layout turned up in live listings on October 29, 2026. Budweiser bar mirrors in general are everywhere, with hundreds listed, though almost all of them show the older bold label, Clydesdales, a bowtie or a crown B.

Detailed visual description

A red, gold and navy Budweiser label on a gold-framed mirror

The mirror is a horizontal rectangle in a wide gold-colored molded frame with stepped edges. Most of the glass is printed red, a true bright red with very fine diagonal pinstripes that catch the light, bordered by thin gold lines. Near each top corner sits a gold A and Eagle: an eagle with spread wings perched on a letter A, with AB on its shield. A gold banner with a navy outline curls across the top center and carries four lines of the label's claim in small navy serif type, and below it sits a round seal in gold and navy with AB in a shield at the center and continent names around the ring, AMERICA legible at the bottom.

Two long panels angle out from the seal. The left one reads THE WORLD RENOWNED with gold hop and barley sprigs, and the right one, mostly lost in glare in the photos, carries a matching sprig and the words BUDWEISER and LAGER BEER on other label versions. Under the seal, a large clear mirror panel holds Budweiser in navy script with a thin gold edge, KING OF BEERS in small capitals, and a few lines of fine script below that the photos can't resolve. GENUINE runs in gold capitals with a dark outline down the red bar on each side.

  • Top corners: gold A and Eagle emblems on the red field.
  • Center: gold banner with the This is the famous Budweiser beer text, over the gold and navy AB seal.
  • Side panels: THE WORLD RENOWNED at left, with hop and barley sprigs on both sides.
  • Lower panel: clear mirror with navy script Budweiser and KING OF BEERS.
  • Sides: GENUINE in gold capitals on red, stacked down each side.
  • Back: not shown in the photos.
  • This copy: frame and glass look whole in the photos, with no cracks or lost silvering visible, but it hasn't been measured and the small print under the logo couldn't be read.

Questions

About the Budweiser Genuine label mirror

How old is my Budweiser Genuine label mirror?

Look at the word Budweiser. A thin navy script with a big looped B belongs to the label used from about 1999 to 2011, and a square mirror with the same label art is marked copyright 2003 and made in November 2005. Mirrors with a bold, blocky Budweiser are the older 1980s and 1990s label.

Who made Budweiser bar mirrors?

Anheuser-Busch licensed outside companies to make its mirrors, and many carry a maker's sticker on the back. Head West Inc. made the 2003 square label mirror, and Beeco made others, such as a 1990 On Tap mirror. This copy's back wasn't photographed, so its maker isn't known.

What does GENUINE mean on a Budweiser label?

It is part of the label's long run of authenticity wording, printed sideways on the red bars at each side, along with the banner that begins This is the famous Budweiser beer.

What does the banner on the mirror say?

This is the famous Budweiser beer. We know of no brand produced by any other brewer which costs so much to brew and age. Our exclusive Beechwood Aging produces a taste, a smoothness and a drinkability you will find in no other beer at any price.

What is a Budweiser label mirror worth?

No other copy of this exact mirror was live on October 29, 2026. Older Genuine label mirrors asked about $20 to $200 before shipping and a square script-era label mirror asked $74.99, though these are asking prices, not sales.
