About this item

The first wave of Bratz The Fashion Show, still boxed

Bratz The Fashion Show Yasmin is a 10-inch fashion doll that MGA Entertainment sold in 2007, item number 362661. She comes dressed in a glittery lilac wrap-front mini dress, a white jacket with faux-fur collar and cuffs, lilac strappy heels and a bracelet, packed in a clear window box with a round "High Fashion Style!" badge. The Fashion Show line had three girls, Cloe, Sasha and Yasmin, plus a Fashion Show limousine with Dana. The box carries no year; the Lookin' Bratz collector database files the line under 2007, and sellers of this item number agree.

Bratz were created by Carter Bryant, a former Mattel designer, and launched by MGA on May 21, 2001, with four dolls: Cloe, Jade, Sasha and Yasmin. MGA had been founded in 1979 by Isaac Larian, at first as an importer. Bratz' big heads, large eyes and trend clothes took on Barbie head-on: by 2006 Bratz held about 40% of the fashion-doll market. Yasmin has been in the line since that 2001 First Edition, which is why loose Fashion Show dolls are often mislisted as "2001."

The Fashion Show came out in the middle of the Mattel lawsuit. Mattel sued MGA in 2006; in July 2008 a jury found that Bryant came up with Bratz while still working at Mattel, and in December 2008 a judge ordered MGA to stop making and selling Bratz after that holiday season. The order was stayed in 2009, and in 2010 the Ninth Circuit ruled that Bratz belonged to MGA; MGA won the 2011 retrial. In 2008 the suit also forced MGA to rename Bratz Kidz to 4*Ever Kidz, and this box still lists BRATZ KIDZ in its trademark lines, which fits a box printed before the rename.

The line was a plain, one-outfit doll with no extra clothes or accessories in the window, and at least some went through discount stores: one boxed copy listed in October 2026 still has a Family Dollar sticker priced $8. Several copies also carry a "New Easy Open Package" sticker on the window; this one doesn't. In 2008 MGA followed with walking Fashion Show dolls in Evening Wear, Sleep Wear and Swim Wear Collections, in different boxes with their own stock numbers.

This copy appears never opened. The doll's lilac dress doesn't match the box art, which shows Yasmin in a hot pink sparkle dress; every boxed copy checked has the same lilac dress, so that's how the doll was made, not a swap.

How to identify it

2007 High Fashion Style, the 2008 walking dolls, or a 2001 Yasmin?

The box front and the number above the barcode tell them apart. From this copy and eBay listing photos, checked October 29, 2026.

Detailed visual description

A lilac glitter dress and white fur in a gold-and-cream window box

The Bratz Fashion Show Yasmin doll has medium tan skin, long light-brown hair with lighter honey streaks, green eyes with dark winged liner and smoky shadow, and full pale pink (mauve) lips. She wears a short lilac (soft pink-purple, glittery knit) wrap-front dress with thin straps, a white jacket with fluffy faux-fur collar and cuffs, lilac strappy high heels and a silver-tone bracelet. She's held in a clear plastic window box against a cream and gold card printed with rows of big translucent circles, like sequins or spotlights.

The box front has "Yasmin" in magenta script at top left, a round hot pink badge reading HIGH FASHION in white capitals over "Style!" in gold script, and a cartoon Yasmin with long hair in a hot pink sparkle dress and white fur jacket. The title runs along the bottom: BRATZ in tilted pink bubble capitals, a small gold THE, "Fashion" in large gold swash script, and SHOW in thin white capitals in a magenta box.

  • Front: doll in the window, the High Fashion Style badge, cartoon Yasmin, the title, the slogan in purple capitals, the MGA Entertainment logo, "Ages 6+" and a choking-hazard warning box.
  • Back: the same title and cartoon in a tall panel with "Brilliant Style!" in gold script, STRUTTIN' THEIR STUFF ON THE FASHION STAGE! in purple capitals and a "Yasmin" signature.
  • Bottom: dark brown panel with the trademark lines, the MGA address, www.bratz.com, the barcode with 362661 above it, and a yellow starburst for www.MGAE.com.
  • Doll: the outfit is sewn and fitted for the window; no second outfit, bag or stand shows.
  • This copy: appears never opened. The window is scuffed, creased and lightly yellowed, with a pale scuffed patch at the top right, and the bottom panel has shelf wear and dirt. No Easy Open sticker.
