This is a "Moonlight" stoneware country goose serving bowl made in Thailand. It is glossy off-white with a softly scalloped rim and a raised rim rib. In the center, two white geese, one head lowered and one raised, with pale yellow beaks and feet, stand inside a powder blue circle ringed by tiny pink and yellow heart sprigs. A two-row blue checkerboard band under the rim is broken by four coral pink hearts with green leaves. The black backstamp reads Stoneware, OVEN & MICROWAVE SAFE, DISHWASHER SAFE, "Moonlight", THAILAND. No company name appears; the style suggests the 1980s.

A country goose pattern from Thailand
The backstamp reads "Moonlight" in quotation marks over THAILAND, with Stoneware and care lines above, but it does not name the company. Geese, hearts and blue checks are typical of 1980s country decor, which fits this pattern's look.

This "Moonlight" stoneware country goose bowl is a round serving bowl in white, a soft off-white with faint speckling, glossy glazed stoneware. Gently sloped sides rise to a softly scalloped rim with a raised molded rib just inside the edge, and the bowl sits on a low foot ring. The printed pattern is in blue, a soft powder or periwinkle blue, with touches of pink, green and pale yellow, in the style of 1980s country kitchen decor.
In the center is a powder blue circle framed by a thin blue line. Two white geese stand inside it, one with its neck curved down and one with its head raised, both with pale yellow beaks and feet and thin blue outlines; their bodies and tails break out of the circle at the bottom right. Around the medallion is a ring of tiny sprigs, each a small pink or yellow heart-shaped bud with green leaves. Just under the rim runs a two-row blue checkerboard band, broken at four points by a pink, a soft coral pink, heart with two green leaves.
The outside is plain white, and the foot ring is a raw, unglazed tan edge. At the center of the base, the backstamp is printed in black: Stoneware in a flowing joined script, then OVEN & MICROWAVE SAFE and DISHWASHER SAFE in plain sans-serif capitals, "Moonlight" in larger sans-serif letters inside quotation marks, and THAILAND in small capitals.
On this copy: size not measured; the base fits in the palm of a hand. Dark specks of grime show in the glaze, with light utensil scratches in the blue medallion, wear to the yellow on the geese's feet, a small bit of debris on the rim and brown grime on the unglazed foot ring. No chips or cracks are visible.
