Mickey Mouse Armchair AM Radio, 1988 Concept 2000 and Radio Shack
A Mickey's 60th birthday radio sold two ways
The Mickey Mouse Armchair AM Radio came out in 1988, the year of Mickey Mouse's 60th birthday. Boxes carry a round "Free Mickey Collector Card Offer Inside" sticker with the "Sixty Years with You" birthday mark. The same radio was sold in two packages. Concept 2000, a division of JPL in New York, sold it in a red window box as No. WD1043. Radio Shack sold it in its own red picture box as model 12-910, and advertised it as "Mickey's Chair Radio, cutest radio you ever heard" for $12.95. Because of the Radio Shack connection, some sellers list it under Radio Shack's house brand, Realistic.
